On Tuesday, April 16th, at 7:00 PM, the South Pasadena Library will host a captivating presentation in the Library Community Room (1115 El Centro) featuring esteemed guest speaker, Matthew Teutimez.
Matthew Teutimez, Elder of the Gabrieleño Band of Mission Indians – Kizh Nation, Biologist, and Director of Resources for the Tribe, will lead an enlightening discussion entitled “Greening South Pasadena: Unveiling the Healing Powers of Native Flora and Fauna for Earth and Body.” Drawing from his expertise in ethnobotanical studies and cultural practices, Matthew will explore the rich heritage and sustainable practices of the Kizh-Gabrieleño Tribe, focusing on the significance of native flora and fauna in promoting environmental and human health within the Los Angeles Basin.
