The City of South Pasadena invites residents to attend the second community meeting on the Huntington Drive & Fremont Avenue Corridor Improvements Project.
The first meeting took place on February 23, during which the City and the project design consultant, Kimley Horn, presented an overview of the project and several design concepts for public input.
In response to significant and valuable feedback that staff received, several adjustments have been made to the meeting format as well as the proposed design concepts. These changes give special consideration to:
- Protected bike lanes
- Reduced speeding
- Safety measures
- Concurrence with the 2023 Toole Design study
- Tree preservation
We encourage the community to attend the second meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 6:00 p.m. at the Library Community Room (1115 El Centro St.) to ask questions, share their input with the group, and review the modified design concepts. The meeting will begin with an overview presentation with a Q&A session. Afterward, participants can visit display tables to provide feedback on each concept.
Information about the Huntington Drive & Fremont Avenue Corridor Improvements Project is available on the City’s website at southpasadenaca.gov/huntington-fremont. The presentation slides from both meetings will be uploaded to the page after the meeting.
