Pardon Our Dust:
The City is excited to share we are implementing a Police fleet conversion to electric vehicles, and the ‘electrification project’ includes the installation of charging infrastructure at City Hall, which will not only support the new fleet, but also provide public-facing charging capability to the public after-hours. California Edison (SCE) is our project partner, and construction at the City Hall parking lots along Hope Street will commence on Monday, April 15. Click here to learn more about ‘electrification project’ project.
Staff and SCE are working diligently together to minimize impacts to our residential and business neighbors during the construction and installation period, expected to last through June 2024. We will try to minimize and contain our footprint to our lots, though staff parking will sporadically be impacted, and you may notice more City Hall, Police and Fire staff parking in area on-street and public parking lot spaces over the course of two months.
