Happy Thanksgiving from South Pasadena and Athens Services! In observance of Thanksgiving, Athens Services will be closed on Thursday, 11/28.
Services will be delayed one day beginning on Thanksgiving.

The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library’s annual Book (and More!) Holiday Sale will be held in the Library Community Room (1115 El Centro) on December 6th, 7th, and 8th.
The best, brightest, and most beautiful donations were set aside all year for the Friends Holiday Sale, an event that has been a community favorite for years! There will be thousands of books representing all genres and a wide variety of subjects, plus fiction bestsellers, children’s books, collectible books, and much more. Sunday, December 8th, will feature a local artisans’ marketplace—a big hit last year and sure to be popular again. Support the Library, satisfy your craving for books, and get into the spirit of holiday giving, all at the same time! Complimentary gift wrap is available while supplies last.
HOURS:
Friday, December 6th: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
**Friends members at the $20 level and up get early admission at 5:00 p.m. – join online**
Saturday, December 7th: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 8th: 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In preparation for upcoming storms, Public Works will have sandbag pick-available at 1000 Lohman Lane, South Pasadena, 91030.
Monday, November 25, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

In observance of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the following closures will be taking place.
. City Hall will be closed from November 27 -28
. The Public Library will be closed from 5:00 p.m. November 27, and closed November 28 – 29
The South Pasadena Police and Fire Department will have staff available to assist the public. For non-emergency assistance, you may contact the Police Department at (626) 403-7240, and the Fire Department can be reached at (626) 403-7300.

Water service has been restored from 1886 Peterson to 2023 Hanscom and the 100 Block of Peterson. If you are experiencing any dirty water and air in the water that makes it look milky, please use the hose bib to flush it out.

The water service has been shut off while public works work to expose the water main break. From 1886 Peterson to 2023 Hanscom, there is no water, and some parts of the 100 Block of Peterson are also affected.
