City Hall Scoop

The community is invited to a huge yard sale at the War Memorial Building this month to support South Pasadena’s famous self-built float! The two-day event will take place on May 17 and 18. Donations are needed and can be dropped off at the following times:

– Basement door: Tuesday, May 14, 4 – 8 p.m.

– Front door: Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16, 4-8 p.m.

All items for sale are generously donated by community members, including collectibles, tools, electronics, antiques, furniture, dishware, jewelry, children’s items, and more! We look forward to seeing you there. For large item pick-up, please contact Steve at sftballsteve@aol.com.

The Holy Family Church is hosting an event for their annual auction. This event will require traffic controls that we would like to make the community aware of as you plan your transportation on Friday, May 10 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. The traffic control will temporarily close a section of Rollin Street between Fremont Avenue and Ramona Avenue, on the north side of Holy Family be between Fremont Avenue and Rolling Street. Need to get rid of that old couch? Bring it to Dumpster Day! On Saturday, May 4^th from 9am to 1pm, South Pasadena residents can drop off their large furniture, appliances, and other bulky items for free. Bring them by the drive-thru event at the South Pasadena High School Fremont St. Parking Lot (located on the corner of Fremont St. and Lyndon St.). Entrance to the parking lot is on Lyndon St. Not sure if your bulky items are accepted? Call Athens Customer Service to confirm: (888) 336-6100.
