Last week, South Pasadena police and canine officer  “Barry” were called upon to assist a neighboring agency on a suspected narcotics investigation. While assisting on the search of a location, police located approximately ten kilos of cocaine that were packaged and vacuum sealed, $26,000 in U.S. currency and a semi-automatic pistol. The Public Works Engineering Department is fully operational and continues to serve the City of South Pasadena.  The department began working remotely in mid-March and has updated our workflows to issue permits electronically and perform electronic plan checking.  Since then, the Public Works Department has issued 51 permits electronically and completed 17 plan check reviews.  …
